The girls of the 1997-2001 Long Beach State cheer squad are lacing up our sneakers for a new kind of competition. . . the Malibu Half Marathon! We are dedicating our run to Jaelyn Glaz, daughter of our fellow cheerleader and friend Jackie Estevez Glaz. Jaelyn is awaiting a liver transplant and 100% of donations collected will go to help with the costs the family is facing during this difficult time.Thank you for your support!

Jogged our hearts out!

The Malibu Half Marathon was an amazing experience. Sunny skies, an ocean view, and a beautiful little girl on our t-shirts and in our hearts.

This will be the last post unless we can get a picture of Jaelyn in the hot pink tutu we made for her.

Thanks everyone for your support of the Glaz family!

Malibu on the Horizon

The countdown to the Malibu Half Marathon has begun! We need all the support we can get so if you're in the area please come cheer us on or meet us at the finish line at Zuma Beach - 30500 Pacific Coast Highway Malibu, CA.

If we're not incentive enough, the course passes the homes of Brad Pitt and other Hollywood stars. (So bring your cameras!)

Jaelyn is doing well post surgery

Jaelyn went into surgery last Friday night, September 17th. She did extremely well but doctors were concerned that her body may not be able to handle multiple procedures. As a result, two of the transplants were postponed until Monday.

Jaelyn has now undergone all three transplants and is doing well. Thank you for your support and please keep it coming!

Huge news!!!

The organs that Jaelyn needs are available! She will go into surgery at 6pm today and the surgery will last between 6-12 hours.

The family needs your thoughts, prayers and support now more than ever. And of course keep the donations coming! We are overwhelmed by the generosity that has already been shown and hope to see much more of it in the coming weeks.

You're helping to make this surgery possible and Jackie and her family are extremely grateful!
